‘ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவன்’ - குறள் அமுது
‘ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவன்’ - குறள் அமுது (Aayirathil Oruvan-Kural Amuthu) a dance drama, was staged last evening at the Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre. It is a crisp story line of a warrior caught between his love and his duty.
The colourful and vibrant LED screen shots presented in the show was a feast to the audience. It was a combination of dance elements of Barathanatyam and Folk like poikal kuthirai (பொய்க்கால் குதிரை), karakam (கரகம்), kummi (கும்மி). This combination sustained the interests of the audience.
‘Tirukural was the base of the dance drama with Several couplets of kural taking place in the music and dance form.
Hence there were both message and entertainment targeting all demographics.
The flyer attached here will give more information about the producer, director, organisers, local dance school and supporters.
